I love that feeling of waking up to a fresh blanket of newly fallen snow. Even though it's not the first snowfall of the year, it is the first snowfall that has stuck around all day. Avery kept looking out the window watching the snow yelling at the top of her lungs "come see Blake, Blake come, come, come see Blake!"



It was also that sticky snow, perfect for making snowmen. So that's what we did this afternoon. It didn't look like alot of snow but we started out with this..



which led us to this..

then this..



and finally this! The kids had a blast, but by the end Avery was ready to go inside and wouldn't pose for a final picture. I'd say he's a pretty nice looking snowman. It was Blake's idea to get the carrot for the nose and dress him with a scarf and hat. He must be seeing that in books or something because this is the first real snowman that we've made. We always seem to miss the sticky snow every year.
