Merry Christmas!

We wanted to wish you a Merry Christmas. Tomorrow is Christmas Eve and we will spending it together-just the four of us. We will open our gifts from each other and then wait for Santa to come the next morning.

We already had our Christmas celebration with Dale's family last Saturday. His parents take off to Phoenix for the winter, so we always have an early celebration with them. I cooked this 25 pound turkey and I have to say it was the best I have ever done. Got rave reviews about how moist it was! The secret is to rub it with the Epicure Turkey Rub mixed with a little Kosher salt and then dry-brine it in the refrigerator all night long. Loosely cover it with aluminum foil when it's cooking-don't cover it with a lid!

This was the first year we did Christmas crackers with the kids. They had alot of fun trying to get them apart!

Blake and Avery got some of their favorite gifts from Grandma and Grandpa and Auntie Dana. Avery absolutely loves the Wowee Alive Lion cub. She has to take it everywhere with her.

Finally a picture of the kids with Grandma and Grandpa. Avery finally warmed up this year and had no problem spending time with them without us. She was always calling for Grandpa to play with her. Maybe she's finally turning a new leaf just in time for the new year!
