Never too old for bubble mowers

After our tiring, but successful garage sale weekend, we headed to Toys R Us so the kids could pick out a new toy (after getting rid of a bunch of their old ones!). They also had a couple of gift cards from Jen they needed to use. Blake immediately knew that he wanted Mario Kart for the Wii, but it was sold out, so he settled on Carnival Games. Avery picked out a new pink bubble mower-our old one was broken, so she never ever did have one to that really worked. I was telling Blake that 'this was what Avery had picked out, so don't get mad if she won't let you play with it-you picked out your Wii game.' He looked so sad that we decided to get him one too. I justified it by saying that he had made enough money from his pop sales at the garage sale to be able to get 2 things. Thank goodness Avery didn't realize that she only got one thing and Blake got 2. My god, these kids are spoiled!!


For supper I made Jamaican Jerk Chicken on the BBQ, baby dill potatoes, corn on the cob and salad. You have got to LOVE BBQ season!! Doesn't it look good. Avery sure thought so. At least I can still count on her eating her corn!!
