Anyway they had to carve the potatoes and carrots and put them together any way they wanted to make a car. Here they are with their finished product. "The Blakester". Blake actually won for most original creation. I have to tell you that I don't really know how as there were some pretty funky cars out there--some people carved an 'M' out of the carrot and had Mickey Mouse ears; others had spoilers. However, we think it's because it actually looked like a 6 year old did it and not just their dad. They said it was because the carrots were on the side and it actually was the only car that had that. So, he got a pretty nice looking pin for that win.
Then it was time for the races--here they are setting up for their first race...

Blake made it all the way to the finals--in this picture the guy is asking Blake if he has any words for his opponent. Blake didn't know what to say, but I told him to say "Good luck" and he did. It was pretty adorable.
Well, even though Blake made it all the way to the finals--he didn't win. It was fairly close but Blake had to settle for second.
