The things kids say.

Even though it's been 2 days since we had the stomach flu, today I didn't feel very well again. Very tired and dizzy and a little nauseous. This morning when Blake was in bed with us, I said to Dale "You can go to the gym if you want, but I don't think I can. I just don't feel very good at all." Blake turns to me and says "Maybe it's because you have a baby in your tummy." !?@!* I have no idea what possessed him to say this. Maybe he had overheard us a few days earlier talking about how tired I was and how I wasn't feeling myself--maybe I'm pregnant. I'm not, by the way. Thank God! I have no idea how he associated sickness with a baby. We told him that it was a really good guess, but no, that's not the reason mommy's not feeling well.

Then tonight Blake was brushing his teeth and I was saying that he better brush them good or they'll fall out! Well, that got me thinking that I should check his teeth for loose ones as some of the other kids in his class have recently lost some baby teeth. Low and behold, both of his bottom front ones are loose. I let him wobble them back and forth. He was quite happy, but then turned to me and said "will it hurt when they fall out?

Love it! It's funny now, but just imagine - 10 years down the road. You'll be able to laugh about it all over again because you've recorded it.
