Let it snow, let it snow...

Yesterday we had our first snowfall of the year. Of course, it's pretty much melted all away today. But it was just enough to make the kids very excited. Avery jumped at the chance to go outside to get her picture taken in the snow. She loved catching snowflakes on her tongue.

Blake was in the middle of a Wii game and "just couldn't" pause it to come outside when I wanted him too. However, it wasn't long after that he couldn't wait to get dressed to shovel the snow off of the deck. Avery tried a little shoveling too, but then was content to just eat all the snow off of her shovel. It is honestly one of her most favorite things to do in winter. Every year since she's been a year and half, she always eats snow. She picks it off of the carpet and off of her boots while she's sitting in the car. I remember when she was two years old and I would constantly crush up ice for her to eat. If she starts peeing alot I may have to get her checked for diabetes!!

Joshi is a snow eater too. I tried to stop it, but I've just given up. Last year we made snow cones from real snow. If you can't beat them join them.

Same here. Doodlebug loves ice, always has, still does and I'm thinking always will. (You know what, I think I always liked to have a melty mouthful of snow too!)
